A slight curve into a flat centre. Often paired with a straight front, and the front and back can be different lengths.

A rounded edge. Cut longer at the back it becomes a drop hem.
Angle

Angled corners into a flat centre. Often mixed with a drop hem at the back.
Drop

Rounded, and usually longer at the back — though we can cut both the same length.
Hi-Low Straight

Short at the front, longer at the back, split at the sides. The usual polo shirt hem.
Hi-Low Curve

Straight at the front, longer and curved at the back.
Hi-Low Little Curve

Send a photo of a shirt whose shape you like, or just describe it. We will tell you which of these gets you there — and cut the front and back differently if that is what it takes.
Mixing front and back
We can adjust the bottom hem on most of the shirts we make.
Most of these can be mixed: a straight hem at the front with a curve at the back, or the same shape cut longer behind.
The hem is set when the pattern is cut, so it costs nothing extra to choose one — but it does have to be decided before we start. No minimum order — pricing works on quantity.
